More Than A Name. It's Our Purpose.

Concentric Lines Defense, LLC, is dedicated to empowering individuals with the necessary skills to develop multiple, overlapping defensive layers. Our comprehensive training programs cover a wide range of self-defense techniques, from introductory to advanced. As such, we ensure that you are well-prepared for any potential threat. As owner and chief instructor, Eugene (Geno) brings together 40+ years of studying and instructing martial arts, firearms, and education.

In terms of defensive experience, Geno’s most significant, and real-life accomplishment, is that he actually has thwarted a planned mass shooting of a Michigan school district, where he was the grades 7-12 principal. While all firearms instructors are trained and certified, few instructors across America have had the real-life experience that Geno brings to defensive firearms training. Geno walked-the-walk, and he literally went face-to-face with those would-be mass shooters. At the end of that 9-months-long, multi-state ordeal, all of the students, faculty and staff closed-out the school year completely unscathed. The multi-state, violent criminals? The would-be mass shooters? They went to prison.

Professional Instructors.

Our instructors are not only professionally trained, but also are certified to deliver high-quality self-defense education. Geno is trained in Tactical, Intermediate Tactical and Advanced Tactical Handgun. Geno also is a Certified Armorer for the AR-15 Platform, and is a GLOCK Certified Armorer, for all models and generations of GLOCK pistols. With a focus on practical skills and real-life scenarios, our training goes beyond theory to provide you with the confidence and ability to defend yourself effectively. By the completion of your training, you will have a very clear understanding of what constitutes condition white, yellow, orange or red. You will be skilled in acting according to each condition. However, our position is, that if you find yourself in condition orange, get out! Do not stick around to be a "good witness". You can read about the chaos in the evening news.

Train Confidently. Train Confidentially.

Concentric Lines Defense, LLC, is non-partisan, non-religious, and tolerates no form of any bigotry. You can train with complete confidence, and with the option of complete confidentiality, by way of closed-enrollment (non-public) courses. No details regarding you, or your training ever will be disclosed, except to comply with a valid court order.
Closed-enrollment courses are available on request for individuals, couples, families, groups, businesses and organizations, who serve as host(s) to the instructor. Instruction is available in-residence, in-office, or at a venue of the students' choice. To schedule a confidential, closed-enrollment course, contact Geno via the secure email above. Closed-enrollment courses, are not searchable, and never will appear on the USCCA public scheduling website. Note that courses which appear on the USCCA searchable, public website, are courses open to the general public.

A CPL Is Just The Beginning.
While training for one’s CPL is necessary, it is not sufficient. It is merely a first-step. Too often, CPL training consists of little more than standing behind the firing line, at an indoor range, firing from a static position, like a mannequin. Such limited training sets-one-up to be little more than an easy target. Geno lives by, and instructs according to the old saying, “Train the way you will fight”. Students must, as a matter of necessity, train in dynamic shooting: laying down defensive fire, while on the move to concealment or better yet to cover. Students must experience defensive shooting around, under, over and even through barriers. Students need to know how to clear and/or reload their weapon while continuing on the move, and resuming fire.

“I had no prior firearm experience before this class nor did any other participants. Gene is an excellent instructor, and by the end of class we all felt confident and skilled handling a handgun. I will absolutely take follow up classes with Gene to keep my skills up! Thank you for such a positive experience!”

Bill L. wrote:
“The instructor Eugene Shaw was very patient and meticulous. He taught me how to react in multiple danger scenarios. This lesson can save lives and avoid legal troubles in the future.”

“Definitely recommend taking a course with this instructor! We took the less than lethal course, and we found it to be very informative and enjoyable! This instructor is professional, engaging, and super knowledgeable, and we feel much safer and more prepared for how to approach personal protection and self defense.”
